Grandma has a watch around her neck. Today, we have to pass a test and have a license to teach.
She had too also, but the State
required her to have a "time piece". She said her father bought it for her! I know it was precious to her. She worshiped her
father. She lost him so early. I know he adored his girls as our Father adored we Sisters.

If I can figure out how to scan their Teacher Liscence I will - Grandma gave them to me when I graduated from College and became a teacher. If I remember right, Betty Lou was give then watch and she truly cherished it.

On one of the blogs, I stated that
Grandma's brother John died of the flu epidemic of 1918. That is not true. I looked back at the notes I took from things Daddy told me.

He was chopping wood and hit his foot with an ax. He got blood poisoning and died. I am so sorry for stating an incorrect fact. I hate when folks tell things that are made up. Please forgive me for not remembering. My mind is not so good as it once was and I am only 55 years old. June 14th I will be 56.

I would love to see the license.

Sister, you are always correct! I think you memory is much better than mine. I would love to be a part of all your and Win's memories, but if I were a part of it...I would be 65 years old at least and I just don't think I would know a thing by then!

I remember stories Daddy told about Uncle John. Daddy was very fond of him. What was their age Difference? It didn't seem like it was that much. Maybe John was just young at heart and enjoyed the kids a lot.
