We had a thankful day...

It was a joy this evening to read all the blogs of my dear cousins. It sure sounds like we are all so blessed.
Skip called early this morning and we had the best talk....I sure wish we lived closer to one another because we sure miss one another.
I probably had the smallest gathering I have had in many years and it was just wonderful. I think my grandboys like the rainbow jello and rolls better than anything. Helen...I'm impressed you make your own. I invite Sister Shubert and I can't fill my family up....she makes a really fantastic yeast dinner roll.
Here is the recipe for rainbow jello:
7 boxes of different colors of jello...do not use sugar free (it's yuck!)
Use a 13x9 pan
Dissolve on box of jello in 1 cup boiling water
Divide into two 1/2 cups
To 1/2 cup you add 1/4 cup sour cream-this is your first layer
Pour into 13x9 dish...it will be a very thin layer
Wait 20 minutes, then pour clear layer on top
Do this every 20 minutes...or check to see if set up after several layers

Sometime...I do it one evening and then finish the next morning
When you are going to leave it for awhile....I cover the dish with either wrap or a snap top.

It takes awhile to make, but it is so worth it....your grandkids will just giggle.

I love you all....you are dear, dear family

I would make it but I was confused...on each package of jello when you make 1 cup..do you divide it in half and add sour cream to each half a cup...and then layer each different color...we need a picture...

well, as I read it my coment is even more confusing....if you use 7 differnt colors jello...will you end up with 14 layers...every other layer will be a jello and sour cream mix?
