Good News

We have been so concerned for about the last 2 months.....Cindy learned that she was a displaced teacher. In other words, we knew she had a job....but until 4:00 this afternoon, she didn't know where. There were 35 teachers displaced.
Well....she got the great news today that she will be a full time Home Economics teacher at North Kansas City High School. This has really been her dream since she was a little girl.
Cindy has been teaching Home Economics in a middle school.
I'll tell you....this is almost the 11th hour. The last day of school is May28th.
Yeah for Cindy!!!!!

I saw on the net where Mo. was cutting back on teachers and I was concerned for her. I am glad she has a job.

Yeah. yeah, yeah,...Many teachers here in AZ will not know where they will be working till almost school starts next year...IE VVL has 4 kinder garten teachers right now...These 4 teachers have enough time they know they will have a job in the gilbert school district next year but they do not know where...
So far there have been enough kids register at VVL to have 1 full KG class plus 9 kids.
VVL really thinks there will be 4 openings there so all 4 teachers can stay at VVL but will not be sure till just days before school starts...

That also means if there is not 4 openings at least 1 or 2 teachers may have to move to another school and that may mean some teachers, that have less years than these teachers, may be out of at jot all together..

The year before last when kris taught here she knew through the district she had enough time that she would have a job somewhere in the Gilbert school district. The school where she was at there was not an openoing again in the KG classes and every other teacher there in grades K-6, at that school, had more time that she did or she could have bumped another grade teacher out...

So 3 days before school started in the middle of AUG she got a job as a KG teacher at one of the other schools...
