We all came throught the ordeal!

Tanner is doing well - not too much bruising. We are so thankful that this sweet little guy is really handling his injury and does not seem any worse for the wear. I think things like this incident are much harder on grandparents.

Oh, it looks like it hurts badly. A bat is a dangerous toy. At my Middle School now the kids only get to play Whiffle ball with a plastic bat and ball. We have had teeth knocked out, concusions, bruises...so we just had to put the wooden and metal bats away.

Can't be a baseball player without a bat though. Glad there were no worse injuries.

When Kris, my oldest, was 7 she played base ball. My husband Mike was the coach. We lived in Caney Kansas at the time. Missy was 5 at the time and too young to play. She was bat girl. We had this one girl that was really big, she had been held back a few years. This girl accidentally hit Missy in the arm with the bat. Missy quit right then and NEVER played again. To this day she can give you every detail of the event!

I got a birthday card from my old friend Jonell Rudd and she is the cousin of Truman's kids too. She said Virgina Lee's daughter, Amy, had lymphoma for the second time...was not doing well...don't think.
