Patsy just posted that Valence Powell passed last week and that really makes me sad.
Valance was such an upbeat person and really had found happiness in Nevada with Steve Jones after the love of her life Gene passed away.
She always kept in touch and loved all of the Powell's so much ~ I was always told that Mom and Gene were the same age and they really use to have fun as kids.

Valance told me that Gene said our "ancestors were all horse theives". I loved it. It was a true statment but the theif was not horses.
I went to school with Dodsons and bet they were her kin. We are all getting older and heading toward that obit column. I hope someone can remember some nice things about me as so many do about Valance. She was very good to Clayton Powell!

I wish I had gotten Grandpa Powell's spelling gene. I can't spell jack squat!
I had thought it was Valence but since I can't spell I figured you were right and I was wrong so I spelled it you way...which was wrong. Oh, dear. We are related, aren't we! Sis 3
i think we were thro grandpa gaddy but i am sure we all have some irish blood some where.
